The Villa is an authentic medieval jewel, forged when the city’s economy was centered on Silk. Gothic art in its churches of Santa María and El Salvador. Arab remains in its walls and in the spectacular Torre del Homenaje. Requena also offers us a tour of the subsoil where ancient caves still hold jars for the preservation of wine from the medieval period.
A few meters from VILASIRA you can visit the Las Pilillas archaeological site, declared a Site of Cultural Interest. It is the only set of cave presses from the Iberian period in the Valencian Community and which is one of the oldest documented wine production centers on the Peninsula.
